PhD Subject

I'm currently doing my Phd under the supervision of Oliver Sentieys in CAIRN team and Matthieu Gautier in GRANIT team at IRISA.
I'm working on the following subject: Architectural exploration of a flexible and low-power radio for communications with drones.

My works deal with power consumption of massively multicores heterogeneous architectures. To be more precise, it could be divided in two main parts:

  • Extraction of a power model for communications in massively multicores heterogeneous architectures. To achieve these objectives I would like to use micro-benchmarking methods.

  • The second part aims to combine state of the art parallelization algorithms with the previous power model.
The main objective is to build a tool capable of transforming a sequential application into a parallel one. This application will be mapped on a massively multicore heterogeneous target and will guarantee the minimum energy consumption for a target throughput.
