We present in this paper a
simulation-based assessment of our recently-presented subspace-based monitoring
and diagnostics algorithms. The study is based on a simple but realistic
simulation of a rocked during flight with
known dynamics. The faults are represented
by changes in the mass matrix, and stationary as well as non-stationary
excitations are considered. A new idea for a reverted use of the test is
introduced that could have applications in FE-model updating.
